Abstract six-domain mandala of wellness, threads converging on a woven central nucleus

The Series-C CEO who fired four providers and got his HRV back

    CEO, early-40s — Series-C B2B SaaS (Western Europe)

Three thousand euros a month on an excellent, contradictory wellness stack. HRV at 28ms and snapping at his co-founder between meetings. Twelve weeks of deep health coaching subtracted four providers, sequenced two interventions instead of seven, and restored his autonomic baseline — without him ever buying another tool.

    Context

Closed a Series C the previous spring. By autumn he had assembled what he called his 'wellness cabinet': trainer, Pilates teacher, nutritionist, therapist, psychiatrist, functional-medicine doctor, executive coach, three trackers, four apps. By every individual metric the providers were excellent. Together they were a contradictory operating instruction his nervous system could not resolve. He was paying €3,200/month to get more tired.

    The pattern

He did not need another intervention. He needed the integrating layer the entire industry has under-supplied. Each provider was optimising for one variable. Nobody was asking what the system was for, what to subtract, or which two interventions, held with discipline, would move four others on their own. Without that director, the cabinet was a cost — not a strategy.

    What we did

    • •Two-hour intake across all six domains (physical, emotional, mental, existential, relational, environmental) — first time the whole picture had ever been on one page
    • •Subtracted: the second tracker, one tracker app, the heavy-lifting block (deferred a quarter), and one weekly session that was duplicating the therapist's work
    • •Sequenced two interventions for the quarter: nervous-system regulation (Reset + daily anchor stack) and a sleep-architecture rebuild — everything else paused or de-prioritised
    • •Coordinated directly with his psychiatrist and functional-medicine doctor — bloodwork reinterpreted alongside HRV, SSRI dose held steady (not his decision to make alone)
    • •Weekly 25-minute coaching check-ins, structured: autonomic readout, one-decision focus, quarter-objective review
    • •Quarterly architectural rewrite: by month nine, two further providers had been let go and the relational domain — starved for a decade — had been resourced for the first time

    Self-rated capacity at work

    +34%

"I had an extraordinary cabinet of tools and no director. The most valuable thing my coach ever did for me was tell me what to stop buying. I spend less, do less, and have more capacity than I did at any point in the last three years. The integrator should have been my first hire, not my last."
