Four concentric ripple motifs — two purple, two olive — converging into a single unified ring above a steady regulated waveform, symbolising four executives' inner voices joining into one collective seva platform.

Four executives, one quiet inner activist each — and the seva platform that came out of it

C-suite cohort of 4 — Lumen Dynamics, mid-cap industrial tech (Western Europe)

Four senior executives at Lumen Dynamics came in for capacity work — sharper output, no extra hours. Underneath the KPIs we found four small, suffocated activist voices. We nurtured them without sacrificing performance, and together they launched Aarambh — a seva-in-service platform pairing employee skill-hours with grassroots organisations.

    Context

The CPO of Lumen Dynamics — a 1,400-person industrial-tech group — booked a six-month engagement for her exec team: CEO, COO, CFO and CRO. The brief was clinical: increase capacity without increasing hours, protect performance through a heavy product cycle. By session four, the same theme kept surfacing — each of the four had a quiet, almost-embarrassed pull toward something the spreadsheet didn't have a column for. None of them had spoken it out loud at work in years.

    The pattern

Capitalism had given them roles, comp and capacity ceilings. It hadn't given them anywhere to put the part of themselves that wanted to be useful beyond shareholder return. That suppressed part wasn't 'a distraction from performance' — it was the exact thing eating their capacity. You can't regulate a nervous system that is quietly betraying itself five days a week.

    What we did

    • •Performance L2 cohort delivered as a closed exec group — capacity, not catharsis, framed as the product
    • •Individual anchor stacks tuned for executive load (decision-density, context-switching, board-week recovery)
    • •Quarterly 'inner-activist' integration session — a structured 90 minutes where the suppressed pull was named, mapped and given a contained operational outlet
    • •Designed Aarambh (Sanskrit, 'beginning') with them: a seva platform that pairs Lumen employee skill-hours with vetted grassroots organisations — engineering hours to a refugee-skills NGO, finance hours to a women-led co-op network, ops hours to a climate-resilience charity, sales hours to a youth mentoring programme
    • •Built guardrails so the platform expanded capacity instead of taxing it: opt-in only, capped at 4h/month, integrated into existing L&D and wellbeing budgets

"We came in for performance. We left with performance and a platform that finally lets the rest of us do the thing we'd quietly given up on doing. It turns out the small voice we kept ignoring was the one holding the most energy. Nurturing it didn't cost the business a thing — it gave the business its leadership back."
