Two mirrored editorial figures: the left overwhelmed under a chaotic cloud of podcast, app, PDF and newsletter glyphs in coral; the right standing simply under a single calm purple waveform on a sage horizon (one-page strategy).

Wellness over-consumer · Information overload pattern

Fourteen newsletters, nine apps, thirty podcasts — and an unregulated nervous system

Product lead at a Series-B fintech, mid-30s (Northern Europe)

A high-functioning product lead arrived with a 47-page Notion 'Wellness 2026' library — 14 newsletters, 9 apps, 30+ podcasts, two unstarted functional medicine protocols. Her HRV was 24ms. We did not add a single resource. We replaced the entire library with one page. Twelve weeks later her HRV had nearly tripled.

    Start with the 7-Day Reset

    Context

Product lead at a Series-B fintech, mid-30s, Northern Europe. Pulled €11k of disposable income through wellness in the previous twelve months: app subscriptions, podcast memberships, two coaches she 'hadn't started with yet,' a CGM still in its box, three online courses with single-digit completion. Her Notion contained a 47-page page titled *Wellness 2026* with bookmarks, screenshots, half-watched Huberman summaries and protocols she had paid for and never opened. She arrived saying 'I know what to do, I just can't seem to do any of it.'

    The pattern

She was not under-informed. She was under-practised. The library itself had become a sympathetic stressor — every unread newsletter, every unstarted protocol, every saved podcast was a small open loop her nervous system was tracking. Her cognitive load from *meaning to do wellness* was higher than her load from work. Adding any resource would have made it worse. The intervention had to be subtractive.

    What we did

    • •Hard archive: every newsletter unsubscribed, every wellness app deleted, the entire Notion library dragged into a single archived folder, untouched for 90 days
    • •Replaced the library with one page: 10-min morning anchor (light + breath + water), 3-min midday physiological sigh, 15-min evening wind-down with phone out of bedroom
    • •One slow real-food meal per week (broth, eggs, leafy greens, slow protein) — replaced 6 supplements
    • •7-Day Reset to physically install the new pattern before anything else changed
    • •Permission framework: no new wellness input for 90 days, regardless of how 'game-changing' it sounded
    • •Weekly 1:1 to hold the line against re-collection — the urge to subscribe to the next thing was the hardest pattern to break

    Outcomes

    HRV (90-day avg)

    24ms → 61ms

    Sleep (continuous)

    5.2h → 7.6h

    Active wellness subscriptions

    23 → 1

    Annual wellness spend

    €11,000 → €860

    Daily protocol adherence

    12% → 94%

    Self-reported decision fatigue

    9/10 → 3/10

"I had so much information about wellness that I had stopped having a body. The most regulating thing anyone ever did for me was take everything away and give me one page. Twelve weeks of one page beat three years of the entire library."
